2010 Buehler Vineyards ChardonnayStaying on the Pelican Bay Wine Show theme we are going to try a North American and a South American taste treat.
Starting in the Russian River Valley of California the 2010 Buehler Vineyards Chardonnay.

A full bodied chardonnay with exceptional tropical aromas on your nose.
On your palate you will get a rich creamy feel with notes of papaya, mango and pineapple with a sense of eating a rich crème brulee. The use of French Oak has made this wine sooo good.

This is one of those wines you will not want to share, even with loved ones!

Fabre Montmayour Gran Reserve 2008 MalbecGoing a little farther south to the Mendoza region of Argentina we get the Fabre Montmayour Gran Reserve 2008 Malbec.
On your nose you will get intense aromas of wild blackberry, liquorice and some spices.

For a Malbec this wine has a remarkable balance and this comes through on your palate and by the feel of exceptionally smooth tannins.

Pair the Chardonnay with white fish and seasonal salads. Pair the Malbec with all kinds of BBQ and cheeses.

Again, both can be enjoyed on their own.

Cheers
